So uh, the blog thing didn’t go as planned..

Woops lol. They do say be careful what you wish for. Immediately after creating a blog to give myself something to do, It seemed like life decided to happen. I’ve been involved in quite a bit since my last entry, I wont even bother to go into detail. But instead, Start afresh. From now on, I will regularly update my blog. I’m so serious. And I’m so doing a video blog like Joel It seems way easier. Anyway, Let me Tell you about my weekend!

B.Y.E.: Oct. 19-21st.

What is B.Y.E.?

Brooklyn Youth Empowerment, we’re basically trying to reach all the youths of Brooklyn and empower them in all aspects of their life. How am I involved? I was part of the committee (Marketing team to be more specific) that organized it and I was one of the main designers. Check out the committee. See logos on their shirts? Guess who made it? Yup, Yours truly. I really Thank God, and it’s all thanks to him I got this opportunity to use my talents. But of course that’s not the greatest. Thing I walked away with. I know it sounds really Cheesy.. but after it all, I really felt empowered…. seriously! LOL

Oct. 19: Empowerment Jam

The Empowerment Jam was awesomee yo! Wish I had pics. Basically the artists that were mentioned up there, were there, and guess who made the video… come on just guess.. yup me lol. HEY! Keep in mind that it was my FIRST time using the program, no one TAUGHT me how to use it.. and I had no videos of my own to use. Well anyway I had to be like the time keeper for the event. When I hold up the red card that means, get off the stage! Geez, those artists… they don’t listen. One artists did another song, AFTER I help up the red card! Judah Camp went crazy as always, wylin out all over the stage. Ironically, I didnt’ have to use the red ard for them, they kept their time very well.

Oct. 20th: The Conference.

Slow day of the weekend, Though I enjoyed my self, There were conferences dealing with the topics of Health, Entrepreneurship (oh my goodness I spelled it right on the first try), Spirituality and Education. I went to the Cpr class and Health and Nutrition Class. That health class definitely changed my way of thinking man. I want that guy to come back again. The stuff he said can’t be written down. Come Next Year!

Oct. 21st: The Empowerment Rally

The conclusion of the Event. The part where everything came together, the tie in! Once again it was an awesome time. We had singing/dancing and stepping ministries there, including my group Jez’reel. You can see them in that pic on right. They’re in the back with the mics. And yes… that is me . And yes … I am standing on a speaker. How did I get there? Don’t ask lol. But that’s us leading praise and worship with the praise dancers dancing along and me abandoning the stage to lead worship on the speakers lol. It felt soo cool! I definitely want one of those every time Jez’reel ministers. But anyway everything else was great. The powerful international speaker, Luke Quamina was there and delivered a powerful message and challenged us to be Lions (leaders). You had to be there for it, his message really hit home and I definitely kept his words in my mind so I can be a proper leader in my various Groups.

So Yeah, a lil insight into something that I’ve been involved in since about August. It was a long ride, hard and stressful. But I feel it was worth it, if its to reach people, to spread the Gospel. Then it’s definitely worth it. But this was our first time so I know the next time is gonna be even ten times more greater. AND its gonna be in the summer. So watch out! Keep your eye out for B.Y.E.
