Today I went to OCM for Shiman’s baptism.
I had 5 bucks on me, three went to a pizza. (Thank you Chanelle<3 for buying me a drink) and the other 2 went to my ride home. When I departed from church I started to feel little droplets. I went to take my umbrella out of my bookbag… turns out I forgot it at home. I had no more money to buy one either. I sighed and hoped that it wouldn’t start pouring on me and that it would at least hold up till I got to the train station.
Thank you Lord for holding up the rain.
I went into the train station. I was slightly tardy, i had to be at OCM for 3pm. It was 2:30 i believe. And I had yet to put the two bucks on my Metrocard. Please don’t let me miss the train I hoped, its Sunday, not the most busiest of days who knows when another train will come. I put the two bucks on my card and brought the total up to $4.05. I swiped my way in and started down the steps. From the top of the steps I saw the open train doors. Aw man! I thought I heard a train pull in when I was filling up my card but I ignored it. I ran down the steps hoping to make it in time.
Thank you Lord for keeping the doors open.
When I got to Chinatown, there was no rain, cloudy, but no rain. I walked over to OCM in the dry weather. And made it there with time to spare.
Thank you Lord for once again holding up the rain.
The baptism service was great. I love how OCM really seems to celebrate baptism. The whole way they go about it is totally different from my church. I joked with Theresia saying that I’m gonna renew my baptism at OCM lol. Shiman got baptized, and I dunno why but I felt like crying a little, I don’t know why, it’s not like I’m her mom or anything… it gave me this warm feeling inside tho.. I love you Shiman! After everything, me n Theresia decided to ski-daddle, it was raining a bit, but thankfully, Theresia had her umbrella. SO we shared it to the train station.
Thank you Lord for Theresia’s Umbrella.
Me n Theresia, took the N train down to Kings Highway, when we got off the train. It wasn’t raining anymore. Good thing too! Theresia and I had to part ways. So I waited for like 1 min. and the bus came!
Thank you Lord for bringing the bus quickly and stopping the rain.
While I was reading on the bus it started to rain for real. “Aw man” I thought, so close to home and I get stuck in the rain. I would still have to walk about 4 blocks till I got home after the bus. “No.” I thought. “I’m gonna trust in God. By the time I get off this bus, the rain will have stopped!” And with that thought I went back to reading.
Thank you Lord for giving me a dry walk home.
On the way home I saw my friend Nadia, whom I haven’t seen since school ended.
Thank you Lord for a nice friend meeting moment.
So basically… I just wanted to brag about HIM a little. Praise God!
